SDASF provides an excellent opportunity for individuals, ages 14 and up, to lend a helping hand with various adaptive sports activities, office work and fundraising. Those individuals interested in volunteering their time and efforts must attend a mandatory volunteer orientation meeting which is held twice a month. Do you have to do community service for school? Are you interested in receiving "hands-on-training" in the areas adaptive sports and recreation programs? Do you have a special skill that we can utilize? Do you want to have fun, meet people and help others? Do you like to help with general office duties? If you answered yes to any of these questions, SDASF can assist you.
SDASF is always seeking volunteers, 14 years and older, for program and event support and general office help. A volunteer orientation is held twice a month at our offices.

No, but if you have any particular areas of interest or skills, we can certainly use them. We will train program volunteers "on the job" (year round sports, camps, clinics, handcycling, etc.). Come with an open mind and an open heart.

Volunteer positions vary in length and responsibility. All volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation. Volunteers who work directly with program participants are provided training in the adaptive equipment that may be used, in disability awareness and the goals of SDASF programs.
